Croft Gate Sales
Ardivachar Croft Garden is technically a micro-agricultural enterprise but we are really just a very small, old-fashioned market garden growing vegetables, herbs, and fruit. Our aim is to maximise freshness, quality and nutritional value, so our produce is harvested to meet our customers requirements. So there is no refrigerated storage or pre-packing. We do not wash our produce, so all fruit, vegetables and herbs should be washed immediately prior to use.
Some members of our community grow their own vegetables, but it can be difficult to get started without either a greenhouse or polytunnel. So we grow vegetable starter plants to order. Our plants are are full hardy and are ready for planting. Please contact us by e-mail at for further information.
We grow a wide range of produce in small quantities and details of which vegetables, herbs and fruit are currently available is listed on the Produce page.
Our produce is mainly reserved for our holiday cottage guests and for making Croft Garden Preserves. However, during the summer months we often have surplus vegetables for sale, please refer to our Produce page for details.
We are a working croft and do not have set opening hours. Please contact us the day before your visit to ensure to check on the availability of produce and to ensure that we will be in the garden.
